Caffeinated Careers Club in Arvada is one of the Denver metro area’s longest-running job search club. Often imitated, but never matched!

At the Caffeinated Careers Club, we network, share advice, job leads, resources, and encouragement. Facilitated by job search expert Tracy Laswell Valdez, is positive, businesslike, uplifting, and focused. Established October 1999 and going strong, with typical attendance of 30+ individuals.

Cost: $1.00.

Dress: Business casual, accessorized with a smile.

I am beyond impressed…The “rough” draft resume by CAREER-Magic impressed me so much I am not sure what else needs to be done…I feel better already about this new career search and as though an enormous weight has been lifted from my shoulders by having someone else help me with this. I’ve been meaning to email you to let you know that I was accepted into the ATLP program. There were only 10 people selected in the entire region, which is a pretty big honor. On top of that, I’ve also received a promotion as the result of numerous inquiries about me due to my resume. Just thought you’d be happy to hear that!

You’ve done a great job cleaning up this resume. I’m most impressed by your seamless reduction of resume to two pages. How did you do it? Doesn’t seem to be much if anything missing. Whatever, the result looks wonderful, something I could never have done myself, and of course well worth the dough I was hesitant to send you. In a couple of months, I’ll probably send you my daughter’s to do. A tough one.

Tracy: I forgot to tell you what happened after you updated my resume. I put out a “few” copies of my resumes through my network of folks and I immediately got three job offers. This month I begin work at Boeing as part of a government contract. Additionally, I got a whopping $10,000 raise out of the deal. Thanks Tracy!!!

Just a quick note to let you know how the job search is going. I sent out 5 resumes and I have received 4 job offers. They are all jobs I would love to have. The difficult part is deciding which job offer to accept. THANKS FOR THE GREAT RESUME.

I’d been laid off since 9/11, and was attending lots of networking events, outplacement sessions, and career advice forums. I’d like to recommend you check out www.career-magic.com. The Caffeinated Careers Club is hands-down the best support group with the most honest and useful information sharing I’ve found.

They have a Yahoo group that is providing thought-stimulating info too. I wish my company’s outplacement service would have been with Tracy [Executive Director of CAREER-Magic], as that would have saved me several less productive months. By the way, my endorsement and referral may be a surprise to Tracy and is totally unsolicited.
